Classroom

 Create a class, add your students …. Now you can send them homework, help them with homework via Doc/Slide/Sheet real time collaboration.

Set reminders via Keeps to their calendar, Give them pop quiz via Forms … and students can submit work to you….. and more.

Hangouts

 Is google attempt as communications service. Eg. WhatsApp, Viber …

Just not as good or popular as the examples.

Groups

 Group chat room.  Create and invite people into your chat room.

Google Plus

 Is google attempt as social media. Eg. facebook, tweeter …

Just not as good or popular as the examples.

Drive

 Cloud storage where you can also create a Team Share drive and give people different access level. Large almost unlimited online storage.

Can also install “Drive File Stream” to access it from your computer like Staff Share and dropbox (But much better then dropbox, doesn’t slow down your computer);

Can restore deleted/modifed files from 25 days back … draw back is you have to send a request to the department online service desk to do, can’t do it ourselves.

NOTE: Although it’s google policy not to do anything evil with your data, remember anything you upload is technically theirs.

Docs

 Just like MS Word, you would use this to create documents

 Just like MS Powerpoint, you would use this to create slide presentations

• But with real time collaboration with share

Sheets

 Just like MS Excel, you would use this to create spreadsheets

• But with real time collaboration with share

Forms

 Create and share questionnaire, survey, or quizzes and you can print out response as graph or csv.

Keeps

 Create notes and reminders that’ll link in with your google calendar

Drawing

 Like an online Paint program. You can create a new picture, or edit the photos you have in your google “Photos” or “Drive”

Sites

 Create a website an publish it on google sites URL

 Where you upload your photos and video to share with others or to use in other google suit like Sites above

Note: Not private, anything you upload is the properties of Google to use if they wanted to.

My Maps

 Using google map create a custom map to share or to embed into your website

Eg. You can create a map of your next holiday, show all the location you will be visiting and maybe even draw travel lines of how you are getting there.

Group Support

 Group chat room.  You can create one for your own interests
